Formation Clinic Goes Awry -- AT-6D Texan Crashes in Florida, 2 Lost: Pilot Was Participating In Training Clinic At Williston Airport Levy County Sheriff’s deputies say two people were killed when a plane crashed several miles from the Williston Regional Airport in Williston, Fla. Witnesses say the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The airplane (file photo) and pilot were participating in a North American Trainer Association (NATA) formation clinic held over the weekend at the Williston Airport. Further details will be released pending notification of the victims’ families. The identities of the victims have not yet been released. NATA is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to the preservation, restoration and safe operation and enjoyment of military aircraft manufactured by the North American Aviation company (NAA).
